Scrip Fundraisers

The Verona Music Parents Association is excited to let you know about two important fundraisers to help you earn money towards your child’s escrow account.  As a reminder, escrow funds are used to help offset your costs for trips and fees.  The more you earn, the lower your out of pocket costs.

VMPA is now offering parents and caregivers TWO opportunities to participate in scrip fundraising, where you raise money by using gift cards instead of cash or credit to pay for everyday purchases like groceries, gas, clothing, dining out, and even your family’s summer vacation.

Fundraiser #1 - Supermarket Gift Card Ordering

Do you shop at ShopRite, The Fresh Grocer, Stop & Shop, or Kings?  If you do, we will sell you gift cards that you can use to pay for your groceries, and you earn a 5% profit when you buy them.  The profit goes into your family’s escrow account, which is maintained by the VMPA.  Buying and using the gift cards doesn’t cost you anything additional.

How much can you earn?  If you spend $200 a week on groceries, you can earn close to $500 after one year of buying and using gift cards!

Fundraiser #2 - RaiseRight

The VMPA has started a NEW fundraiser in 2022 called RaiseRight.  Through RaiseRight you can buy gift cards from over 750+ popular brands, with options for eGift cards (available immediately), physical gift cards, and reloadable gift cards. No extra money spent. It’s all managed on a convenient app on your phone.

For every gift card purchased, you receive earnings up to 20%. The earnings come from the gift card brand you are purchasing—their way of supporting organizations and communities like yours.  On average, these earnings average 6%, much more than the average credit card rewards program.

All earnings are distributed to the VMPA.
